Με μεγάλη επιτυχία ολοκληρώθηκε το 9ο Διεθνές Συνέδριο HAICTA 2020 (9th International Conference on Information and Communication Technologies in Agriculture, Food & Environment) στη Θεσσαλονίκη, 24-27 Σεπτεμβρίου 2020. Προσαρμοζόμενοι στις νέες συνθήκες που διαμορφώθηκαν λόγω της πανδημίας του κορονοϊού, δόθηκε η δυνατότητα στους σύνεδρους να παρουσιάσουν τις εργασίες τους είτε διαδικτυακά, είτε δια ζώσης (τηρώντας όλους τους υγειονομικούς κανόνες), είτε με μορφή e-poster. Συνολικά παρουσιάστηκαν 93 επιστημονικές εργασίες.

Ευχαριστούμε θερμά όλους τους σύνεδρους, καθώς και τον key note speaker καθηγητή Mauricio Canavari για το υψηλό επιστημονικό επίπεδο των παρουσιάσεών τους. Επίσης, θα θέλαμε να ευχαριστήσουμε τους συνδιοργανωτές του Συνεδρίου, το Πανεπιστήμιο Μακεδονίας και το Πανεπιστήμιο Δυτικής Μακεδονίας. Επίσης και τους υποστηρικτές του Συνεδρίου, το Αριστοτέλειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θεσσαλονίκης, το Εθνικό Κέντρο Έρευνας και Τεχνολογικής Ανάπτυξης (ΕΚΕΤΑ) και τον Ελληνικό Γεωργικό Οργανισμό (ΕΛΓΟ) - ΔΗΜΗΤΡΑ.

]]><![CDATA[Conference Participation and COVID-19]]>Tue, 28 Jul 2020 15:33:08 GMThttps://2020.haicta.gr/news/conference-participation-and-covid-19Under the COVID-19 situation, HAICTA 2020 offers a variety of options for Conference participants to present their work
  1. Physical attendance. We welcome all Conference participants to attend the Conference physically. Greece is one of the safest countries in terms of the repercussions of the pandemic (https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/). The Conference organizers have already taken into account all the guidelines to maximize safety and hygiene for all participants and will strictly follow all regulations to ensure that all Conference activities will be pleasant and interesting as well as safe for everyone. 
  2. Webinar/Teleconference. For participants who do not wish to travel to Greece or if there are restrictions for travellers from specific countries, there will be an option to attend the whole Conference virtually and to do an oral presentation through teleconference. More details about this option will be announced soon.
  3. E-posters. In order to reduce related risks, authors also have the option to present their work as an e-poster. This means that there will be no printed version of the posters, but instead they will be presented electronically on screens on the Conference venue. In addition, e-posters will be available for viewing by remote Conference participants. Specific guidelines for e-posters will be announced soon.

For all types of presentation the deadline of August 15th for early registration still holds and is essential for your contribution to be included in the Conference Scientific Program and Proceedings. We are aware of an issue with the Online Submission System that has been set up for HAICTA 2020, maintained by EasyChair. At this point no one can access the website and submit a paper. We are confident that the IT techs at EasyChair are doing their best to get the system running back up again in no time. We understand that today is the deadline for all type of submissions. We monitor this issue and we'll take actions accordingly within this day. Keep visiting the "News" section of HAICTA 2020 website. We'll keep you posted with updates regarding this issue. 

UPDATE 16:50 EET: The system is back up and running. You can now submit your papers though our Online Submission System.

The HAICTA 2020 Organizing Committee is working hard for the event in order to have everything in place in September. However, rest assured that you can withdraw your submission at any stage before the Conference, during the uncertainty of the outbreak. This will also apply to refunding your registration fee with no penalty if the situation continues to be uncertain or if travel bans still apply for your country or are advised by your Institution.]]>
